for parents where both work (or single parent works) and are over/under the pay-threshold, we are registered to accept the funding. This covers 38 weeks of the year during the school term, but not during school holidays. As we operate on a term-time only contract basis, this means that if you wished to use your 30 hours to cover 3 days a week, solely for those 38 weeks, then you would have nothing to pay for childcare, except for optional excursions / activities (see below)
We operate in blocks of 10 hours (7.30am to 5.30pm) per full day for those on 30 hours, or 5 hours per day for those on 15 hours and going to school nursery (7.30am to 12.30pm or 11.30am to 4.30pm with option to add an hour)
Examples of pricing per a normal week, and using 30 hours funded, would be as follows for 38 weeks of the year :-
Attending 3 days a week = 30 hours funded with nothing to pay*
Attending 4 days a week = 30 hours funded plus £36 (£28.80 if you use tax-free scheme)*
Attending 5 days a week = 30 hours funded plus £72 (£57.60 if you use tax-free scheme)*
We do not provide nappies, wipes, creams etc, and we ask that you provide a packed lunch (or quick heat meal is fine). Therefore the only other cost to you than above would be for outings* / activities*, which is completely optional. Examples of the costs of places we regularly goto are :-
Soft play £3 (free for non-walkers)
Lets Pretend £4.50 (£2.50 for non-walkers)
Saltholme play area £1
As mentioned, all contracts are term-time only, meaning if you are solely looking to use the 30 funded hours only for the 38 weeks, then you do not need to attend during the school holidays and there is no charge or retainer fee during that period. If you did need to use us during the school holidays (Monday to Thursday only), then it would be at our standard £36 a day rate
if you are eligible (usually where both parents work or a single parent works), can be used upto your child's 15th birthday, and also in conjunction with the 15 / 30 funded hours
We are currently registered to receive Kiddivouchers, Computershare, Edenred, Care-4, Sodexo, Saycare etc, however you must already be registered to use it as this has now been replaced by the above Tax-free scheme
We accept direct payments if you are on a funded education course or placement
If you are eligible, you can also claim the childcare element of tax credits for your childcare, however, please make enquires with tax credits direct, what is the best scenario for you
